Occupying almost four thousand acres, the Baltimore/Washington

International Airport caters to over 52 airlines, which includes charter, cargo, and commuter flights to domestic and international destinations. An average of more than 700 flights leaves or arrives at the Baltimore/Washington International Airport daily, carrying about 56,000 passengers to their destination everyday. Among the passenger airlines that use the BWI, Southwest Airlines flies the most number of passengers, getting more than half the bulk while second to it is AirTran, with just 10% of the number of passengers. Following are American Airlines, US Airways, and United Airlines. International flights are handled by Air Canada Jazz, Air Jamaica, Air Greenland, British Airways, Icelandair, North American, and USA 3000 with non-stop trips to Accra, Ghana, West Africa, Bermuda, Cancun, Mexico, Kangerlusuaq, Greenland, London, England, Montego Bay, Jamaica, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Reykjavik, Iceland and Toronto, Canada. For domestic flights, they frequent going and leaving the airports in Orlando, Providence, Atlanta, Boston, and Tampa, from the 63 places that they cater to domestically.
