Fukuoka Airport is considered to be a second class airport, with a lot area
of more than three square kilometers. Formerly called the Itazuke Auxillary
Airfield, it was the site of a former US Air Force Base before. It has 4
terminals, the first three dedicated to domestic flights and the fourth for
international flights. There is also a cargo terminal for freight
transport. Operations start at seven in the morning and ends at ten in the
evening to give the residents around it some quiet time to rest and sleep. |

George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport Reaps Financial Accountability Honors
The Houston airports (including the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston
Airport) which belong to the Houston Airport System were recognized by the
top credit rating agencies in the US for maintaining excellent financial
accountability systems. These agencies (which are the Moody's Investors
Service, Fitch Ratings, and Standard & Poor's) granted an A+ rating to
Houston Airport System member airports this August 2007. The rating from
these three agencies allow future investors to evaluate the type of loans
that the Houston Airport System airports can be given, as well as assists
in regulating the airports. |
