Though it only opened barely a year ago, on September 15, 2006, the Suvarnabhumi Airport, also known as the New Bangkok International Airport
(BKK), is now considered to be one of the busiest airports in the entirety
of Asia. BKK is supposed to be the replacement airport for Don Mueang
International Airport after the latter ceased operations. Structural
problems, however, have caused BKK to operate on a limited capacity,
prompting the various Thai airlines to shift their domestic flights back to

selected by President Dwight Eisenhower because there was so much space

airport to maintain good relations with its neighbors up to this day.

Tokyo Narita International Airport

Should Airport Regulators De-clog Tokyo Narita International Airport?

Tokyo Narita International Airport (or just Narita International Airport) is Japan's second-busiest passenger airport, since it is responsible for
most of the country's international traffic (both headed for Japan and
coming from Japan.) It was formerly known as New Tokyo International
Airport. As an air freight hub, it is the busiest in the country and third-
busiest among the world's air freight centers. This international airport
is categorized as a first-class airport, based on Japanese law. It should
be differentiated from Tokyo International Airport, or Haneda Airport,
which ironically does not manage much international passenger traffic for
Japan. Tokyo Narita International Airport presently owns the longest runway
in Japan, since its main runway spans 4,000 meters.

Munich International Airport

The Real Name of Munich International Airport
What Munich International Airport? You mean Franz Josef Strauss
International Airport, don't you? Actually, both names refer to one and the
same airport - Munich International Airport just happens to be the name by
which the airport is more commonly known. On official documents, though, it
is called Franz Josef Strauss International Airport. It came to be
officially named so to honor the memory of Franz Josef Strauss, a key
player in German domestic politics who (aside from being a pilot as well)
was instrumental in getting the airport built. Hence, the name.

San Jose International Airport

Suburbanites Prefer Medium-Sized San Jose International Airport

San Jose International Airport is more formally known as the Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport. It is a moderately-sized airport (as
international airports go), which is conveniently located at the junction
of the Highway 87, Interstate 880, and Highway 101 freeways which serve the
San Jose, California area. Usually, passengers who choose the San Jose
International Airport as a travel destination do so because they are
suburban residents who consider San Francisco International Airport to be
too far from where they live. San Jose International Airport also functions
as a reliever airport that absorbs flights to the Bay Area served by
discount carriers who want to prevent delays caused by the weather.

Parking options
Paying for parking, for one thing, can go much faster if you use any
national debit or credit card to pay at the parking ticket machines. You
can park your vehicle for the day only, or opt for long-term parking, or
pay by the hour. Motorcycles are also allowed to park in the parking garage
but pay the same rates as automobiles. Wheelchair-bound passengers may ask
for wheelchair and luggage assistance too.
