Belonging to the ranks of the busiest airports in Europe, Dublin Airport services over sixty thousand passengers everyday, sometimes even reaching up to eighty thousand a day during peak season, or up to a total of twenty one million passengers per year. They have more than ninety airlines, twelve percent of which belongs to chartered airlines, and eighty eight percent is for scheduled airlines, reaching up to a hundred and fifty destinations around the world. London Stansted Airport Poised to Expand

London Stansted Airport is currently the third-busiest airport within the United Kingdom. It only has one runway at present, but future plans include development of an additional full-length runway within the next 50 years. This runway will be the second located in the South East (the other to be built within the premises of Heathrow Airport.) According to the Government's White Paper concerning such plans, London Stansted Airport should optimize use of its only runway in the interim.

London Gatwick Airport may have only one runway, but it makes optimal use of it - so much so that it is known as the busiest single-runway airport among the world's single-runway airports. It is the second-biggest airport in the United Kingdom alone and presently ranks as the seventh-busiest of the world's international airports. Not bad for an air travel facility with just one runway.
